GPU acceleration would be great to have!

It seems like the viewport/main screen is CPU bound. Having it GPU accelerated would make scrolling and zooming much smoother, and could potentially allow for lower zoom levels (aka down to 100% zoom to get a pixel accurate representation of the final output image).
